Two sisters are staring at a three-year jail time after they were arraigned before an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for recording and selling a video footage of two lovers making love

Mineola, 24 and her 19-year-old sister are being tried for indecent practice and unlawful video recording, breach of peace and fraud.

One of the lovers in the video was friends with the accused until a recent fallout.

The court was told that the the offences were committed on April 4 at No. 37, Access Road, Oworonshoki, Lagos around 4.00 p.m. while the complainant (names withheld) was having sex with with her lover.

"The accused also took nude pictures of the complainant with their phones and started selling the pictures. They also conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by taking the nude pictures of the complainant to sell," The prosecutor, Cpl. Uche Simon said.

Cpl. Simon said the offences contravene Sections 134, 136,166 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

Though the accused both pleaded not guilty, they face a minimum of three years imprisonment sentence if convicted.

Chief Magistrate, Mrs Omolade Awope, granted them bail of N50, 000 each and adjourned the case to the 23rd of May.
