Paul Play slams Etisalat with N200m copyright infringement lawsuit

Singer Paul Play Dairo has filed a N200m lawsuit against telecommunications company, Etisalat for using his song, Mosorire in its popular reality series, Nigerian Idol, without seeking his consent. In the suit filed at a Lagos High court and marked FHC/CS/581/2014, Optima Media Group was made co-defendant. Paul stated that the defendants had used his hit song, Mosorire, which he composed himself, to promote their TV show, Nigerian Idol in 2012 and 2013.

Police said the 27-year-old-woman woke up about 4 a.m. on Nov. 5 in her apartment near Glendale and 27th avenues when she noticed the bathroom light was on. After she asked her friend who was in there, reports show, the bathroom light shut off.

A 38 year old tailor identified as Oluwasegun Adegbenjo was murdered by unknown gun men around 11pm inside an uncompleted building in the Alagbado area of Lagos state on Jan. 28th. 

 

According to Punch, Oluwasegun, an Ikotun-based popular tailor had closed from his shop late that nightand had gone to the uncompleted building to meet with some people when he was shot and left in the pool of his own blood.

Collins raped & burned 8 year old boy found guilty of murder

In 1998, Don Collins (pictured left), then just 13 years old doused 8 year old Robbie Middleton (pictured right) with gasoline and lit him on fire. Prosecutors said yesterday Feb. 9th that Collins carried out the horrific attack, which happened on Robbie's 8th birthday - to stop him from reporting sexual abuse. Robbie suffered burns over 99% of his body.
